Dr. David Wichman is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience leading psychiatric care in both hospital and outpatient settings. He previously served as Chief of Psychiatry at Ascension Via Christi Hospital and the Topeka VA Medical Center, earning a strong reputation for compassionate, patient-centered care.
Dr. Wichman is also a nationally recognized speaker and educator, regularly invited to train psychiatric providers on cutting-edge treatments like dTMS, Spravato® (esketamine therapy), and modern antidepressant strategies. As co-founder of Freedom Behavioral Health Solutions, Dr. Wichman personally oversees and hand-picks every provider on the team—ensuring each patient receives safe, effective, and expert care.
While Dr. Wichman is not accepting new patients at this time, he remains actively involved in the supervision and clinical direction of our care team.
